Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Welder at our Talladega, AL lumber facility. The role offers a starting pay of $27.00–$30.00/hour with a $5.00/hour shift premium for hours worked Fri–Sun, and potential advancement based on skills and performance.

Shifts are 12 hours long with overtime, holidays, and weekends required as needed. Orientation week sets your regular shift; physical duties include long standing, lifting up to 60 pounds, and working in a hot, noisy environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of general welding experience.
• Knowledge of TIG, MIG, Arc, and Oxy-fuel welding.
• Ability to produce welds that are 100% x-ray quality and visually acceptable.
• Must know how to clean welds with a buffer or grinder for the welder.
