Job Description:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to assembly, preparation, and welding of metals such as aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloys for piping systems, racks, and various items supporting our mechanical projects.

• Proficiency in all welding techniques and materials used, including aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloys.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and sketches for fabrication.
• Skill in developing sketches/drawings for shop fabrication based on field information.
• Experience with setup and operation of hand and power tools, including shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
• Welding in various positions: flat, vertical, overhead.
• Layout, position, align, and secure parts prior to assembly using measuring tools.
• Inspect work for defects and ensure conformity to specifications.
• Weld components using appropriate alloys and techniques.
• Select and use torches, tips, filler rods, and flux according to specifications and metal types.
