We are currently searching for a Welder to join our team!

General Purpose

Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Proficient in assigned welding techniques.
  • Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbology.
  • Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys and aluminum materials.
  • Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
  • Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools.
  • Clean and prepare product for final assembly
  • Igniting flame or striking an arc while welding or performing other electricity-related work to weld part of a metal structure.
  • Clamping, holding, tack-welding, heat-bending, bolting, or grinding spare parts as necessary to satisfy the technical requirements and create a welded final product.
  • Operating safety working equipment and applying safety practice at work while performing his/her duties.
  • Operating other accessory equipment and performing some tasks necessary for welding metal, such as fusing metal segments, using gas tungsten arc, metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and other types of welding arcs.
  • Control the processes of fitting, burning and welding to avoid problems in relation to overheat, distortion, expansion or shrink of spare parts.
  • Examining finished products and spare parts and comparing them with samples to check whether the specifications are met.
  • Being in charge of preparing and setting up necessary tools and equipment for welding job such as shielded metal arc, gas metal arc or other welding equipment.
  • Arranging and assuring the welded parts to be arranged in order before being assembled into final products, using such tools as square, caliper or ruler for this task.
  • Welding equipment maintenance.
  • Assist in repairs as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications, Education and Certifications
  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential/duty satisfactorily
  • Works with limited supervision
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints, production/assembly instructions, parts lists, verbal instruction and notes
  • Ability to apply previous experience to perform detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Must have the ability to resolve minor problems as they arise
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in various forms of welding, specifically aluminum MIG welding and TIG welding mix of school and work acceptable
  • Preferred certification to welding standard AWS D1.2, or equivalent in aluminum standards (this certification will have to be obtained if not already possessed)
