Job summary

Belden Inc. is seeking a skilled welder/fabricator to join our team in Washington state. You will perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding, interpret complex drawings, and build fixtures for precise assemblies.

You will operate robotic welding equipment, maintain welding consumables, and ensure safety standards are followed. The role demands reliability, stamina, and a willingness to work extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
  • Ability to read blue prints, drawings, calipers and tape measures.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willing to work 40+ hours per week including Saturday.

Responsibilities

  • Weld joints in all positions using MIG, TIG and stick welding according to prints.
  • Interpret drawings for welding requirements and design/build fixtures.
  • Build multi-piece structures of complex geometry and fixture them for welding.
  • Operate the Robotic Welding Machine and maintain welding electrodes and gas.
  • Maintain safety practices and comply with regulations.

Summary:

Fuse aluminum, steel and stainless parts together using MIG, TIG and stick welding process. Perform all types of weld joints in all positions. Interpret drawings for welding requirements and design and build fixtures. Build multi-piece structures of difficult complexity by measuring and locating parts, clamping parts in location and welding per print. Maintain and repair welding electrodes and gas for MIG and TIG welding. Make minor adjustments and operate the Robotic Welding Machine. Comply with all safety regulations.

Equipment use:

MIG, TIG and stick welder, robotic welder, brazing torches, cutting torches, air arc cutting torch, jib crane and fork lift.

  • Experience with MIG and TIG welding
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to read blue prints, drawings, calipers and tape measures
  • Ability to consistently produce quality products
  • Must be reliable
  • Ability to stand continuously for long periods of time
  • Willing to work 40 + hours per week including Saturday
