Job Summary:
The SEEC Welder will play a crucial role in the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of boiler components, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our boiler systems. The Welder should have expertise in various welding techniques, a strong understanding of boiler systems, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques such as TIG, MIG, and stick welding.
- Fabricate and repair boiler components, including pressure vessels, pipes, and structural elements.
- Ensure the integrity and strength of welded joints in accordance with industry standards and codes.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately execute welding projects.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure precise implementation of project requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of boiler components to identify and address issues related to corrosion, erosion, or wear.
- Perform weld repairs on boiler tubes, headers, and other critical components to maintain operational efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in safety meetings and training programs related to welding and boiler operations.
- Conduct quality checks on welded joints to ensure they meet specified standards.
- Document welding activities, including materials used, welding parameters, and inspection results.
- Collaborate with Boiler Operators, Maintenance Technicians, and other team members to execute maintenance and repair projects.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a coordinated approach to boiler maintenance.
- Maintain and clean welding equipment regularly to ensure proper functionality.
- Report any issues with welding equipment or tools for timely repair or replacement.
- Stay updated on advancements in welding techniques, materials, and safety practices.
- Propose and implement improvements in welding processes and procedures.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Welding certification from a recognized institution is .
