Job summary

Epiroc is seeking a skilled Welder to join our Dexter, MI manufacturing team onsite. This role focuses on setting up welding fixtures, MIG-welding parts to spec, and reading blueprints to ensure quality.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of welding experience, proficient MIG skills, and solid problem-solving abilities. The position offers a midday shift and opportunities for growth and skill development within a global company.

Responsibilities

  • Layout, position, and align components in the welding fixture as instructed.
  • Set up gas shield, MIG-weld, and weld parts per specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols for assignments.
  • Use hand tools, clamps, and grinders to complete tasks.
  • Perform basic maintenance on welding equipment.
  • Adhere to safety, health, and environmental procedures.

Epiroc is seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join our manufacturing team. This role is critical to producing high-quality products that meet Epiroc's standards for safety, reliability, and performance. Work Type (Onsite):

This position will be based onsite at our Dexter, MI facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship

Shift Timings:

4:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Thursday.

Responsibilities:
  • Layout, position, align, and fit components into the welding fixture as instructed.
  • Set up the gas shield, MIG-weld, and weld parts to job specifications.
  • Read, interpret, and understand blueprints and welding symbols to complete job assignments.
  • Use hand tools, clamps, and grinders to perform job tasks.
  • Complete basic maintenance on welding equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental procedures, policies, and practices.
  • Any other duties that fall within the employee’s capabilities.
Knowledge/Education:
  • A minimum of 1 year’s experience.
  • Demonstrated skill level in wire feed (MIG) welding.
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal skills.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to read tape measures and blueprints.
  • Ability to read and understand work order routings and instructions.
  • Ability to lay out parts using weld fixtures.
