Job description

Job Description:

• Aluminum welders that can weld Al tig and push pull mig
• This position will be responsible for welding vessels of various types of metals using GTAW.
• Client produces high quality manufactured products using radiography, vacuum mass spectrometry, and phased array ultrasonic testing.
• Client complies with ASME, DOT, AAR, and EN pressure vessel codes.

Responsibilities:

• Operation of cranes, forklifts, and aerial lifts
• Welding of vessels through established manufacturing processes with minimum instruction and minimum supervision
• Perform complete welding and finishing operations for the repair of units.
• Accurately maintain required records (production traveler, material traceability, and production records).
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned work area
• Monitor equipment functionality and report maintenance needs
• Assist other new welders in learning welding skills
• Complete and follow all safety procedures and policies
• Complete company provided training to effectively perform required job responsibilities
• Other work as assigned

Requirements:

• Completion of a Welder Training Program
• Proficient in all positions with GTAW
• Proficient in knowledge of blueprint reading and welding symbols
• Proficient in welding best practices
• Proficient in visual inspection
• Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking and occasional crawling
• Frequent pushing, pulling and handling of material
• Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions
• Repetitive hand movements during welding operations

Professional Experience:

• Must complete and pass welding test
• Tig welding: Your weld test will consist of 2G aluminum plate test with backing GTAW.
• Additional testing in the 2G, 3G, and 6G for qualifications upon being hired. First week will be in the testing lab to finish qualifications.
• Ability to: Adhere to Company Standards and Values
• Meet expectations for attendance and performance
• Meet deadlines for assignments
• Interact personably with co-workers and associates

Education:

• High School diploma or GED
