Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a skilled Welder to perform setup on entry level welding components, including similar to dissimilar metals, with strict quality standards. The role requires reading blueprints, performing MIG, TIG, Arc and stud welds, and ensuring proper machine setup and finish squareness.

Responsibilities include interpreting work orders, BOMs, and maintaining safety while delivering clean, high-quality welds.

Qualifications

  • Reading and interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest and proportions.
  • Apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
  • Apply common sense in following written or verbal instructions.
  • Basic personal computer skills.
  • Prioritize tasks.

Job description

Position Summary

The Welder is responsible for performing setup on all entry level welding components that range from similar to dissimilar metals and alloys requiring a high degree of skill and welding technique or involving a considerable number of parts and/or smaller more complicated weldments where alignment, dimensions and weld quality must conform to strict quality standards.

Major Responsibilities
  • Accuracy with alignment, dimensions, materials, number of components, correct corresponding machine order and general inspection requirements.
  • Setup weldments per blueprint specifications.
  • Mig weld to blueprint specifications.
  • Tig, Arc, Stud weld and utilization of a torch.
  • Properly setup welding machines to obtain proper welding penetration.
  • Clean welds to check for imperfections.
  • Ensure proper finish squareness.
  • Interpretation of work orders, blueprints and bills of material.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.
Required Education / Experience / Skills
  • General supervision: routine duties are performed with minimal supervision. Standard practices or procedures allow me to proceed alone at routine work. Occasional check of work while in progress. Work is reviewed upon completion.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
