Job Title: Welder at Bharat Forge Aluminum USA, Inc.

Description

• Perform production overlay welding and continual structural rebuilding of all tooling.
• Conduct maintenance and repair welding on forge tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
• Fabricate devices and operate carbon air arc/plasma cutting devices for metal removal.
• Responsible for heat treating and managing heat-controlled furnace programs and settings.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Repair work on die blocks, rams, trimmer and punch dies, and punches by welding broken parts and building up worn or defective surfaces.
• Pre-heat or post-heat parts as necessary.
• Perform brazing or soldering as required.
• Fabricate items such as chutes and guards and perform repair welding.
• Transport and position portable welding equipment across plant locations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
• Communicate effectively between shifts and work as part of a team.
• Complete necessary forms, paperwork, and job tracking.
• Transport tools and perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment.
• Execute production tool welding based on standard work instructions and material specifications.
• Perform Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW).

Requirements

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and STICK welding.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of welding safety procedures.
• Certification from a technical school or college is preferred.
