Job summary

FirstCall Mechanical is seeking an experienced Welder to join our Tampa team. You will perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on commercial HVAC, piping, and structural components, in shop and field environments.

The role requires reading blueprints, measuring and cutting with precision, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Candidates should have 3–5 years of welding experience and be able to lift up to 75 pounds; AWS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• 3–5 years welding experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and performing precision welds.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Certified welder (AWS or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding on various metals and materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and welding symbols.
• Measure, cut, and prepare materials for welding and assembly.
• Inspect completed welds for accuracy, strength, and compliance with specifications.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking an experienced Welder to join our team. This individual is responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work on a variety of metal components used in HVAC, piping, and structural systems. This role requires technical skill, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards in both shop and field environments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT

This position reports directly to the Project Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
