We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welder to join our dynamic engineering team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects that will test and develop your welding skills. As a Welder, you will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, meeting quality standards, and maintaining safe work practices. This role is integral to our operations and requires a professional with a strong understanding of the engineering industry and a proven track record in Mig and Overhead welding.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
• Use specialized equipment to weld and assemble new metal forms.
• Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
• Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
• Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Prepare product for shipment.
• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and company policies.
• Train and mentor junior staff to enhance team performance and ensure project completion.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience with Mig and Overhead welding.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Willingness to learn and positive attitude.
• Strong knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
• Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus.
• Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy items and work overtime.
• In-depth knowledge of the construction and production process.
• Proficiency in English.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in engineering or relevant field is a plus.
