Job Title: Welder

Responsibilities

• Perform structural welding on large steel components for NAVSEA-related equipment using flux core and pulse welding techniques.
• Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Fit and assemble various large structural steel components prior to welding to ensure proper alignment and fit-up.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to complete welding and fabrication tasks accurately.
• Work with stainless steel and other materials as required, using appropriate welding processes and procedures.
• Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to applicable standards, making adjustments or repairs as needed.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work area in safe and proper working condition.
• Follow all safety procedures and shop guidelines while working in an open-air, non-climate-controlled environment.
• Collaborate with other welders and fitters to meet production schedules and support a growing welding team.

Essential Skills

Pay and Benefits
