Job summary

Soukup Construction, Inc. is seeking a Welder to join our expanding shop in Sioux Falls, SD. The role involves welding on vehicles and equipment, with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will perform repairs, maintenance, and assemblies under supervision, supporting project managers and field teams. Our team values strong work ethic, teamwork, and a commitment to quality work, backed by a competitive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401K, PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a Class A CDL.
• Adequate supply of personal tools.
• Aptitude to work efficiently.
• Team player with a good attitude and energy.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and pre employment physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Follow safe work practices.
• Under supervision performs work of considerable difficulty in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment; performs related work as assigned.
• Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs vehicles and equipment by welding, heating, assembly and disassembly.
• Prepares and maintains records and reports.
• Builds specific items according to engineered or hand written plans supplied by Project Managers.
