Randstad USA is seeking skilled welders for aerospace tooling in Santa Ana, CA. The role focuses on high-precision TIG/MIG welding of steel, aluminum, and Invar 36, with strict blueprint interpretation and setup of machines and fixtures.
Phase 1 training on 1st shift begins at 5:00 AM, transitioning to 2nd shift for production. Candidates must handle long shifts, heavy assemblies, and blueprinted tolerances in a safety‑mocused shop.
We don’t make mass-produced gadgets—we fabricate high-precision manufacturing systems and massive tooling (think the largest Invar molds in the world) that make next‑generation aircraft and defense systems fly. If you like throwing your hood down, laying clean beads on complex metals, and working on large‑scale aerospace projects—this is your spot.
Pay Range: $23.00 – $35.00 / hour (Base rates start at $23–$30/hr; high-skilled welders mastering complex materials and tight blueprint tolerances reach up to $35/hr).
Phase 1 (Training): Onboarding and hands‑on training take place on 1st Shift starting at 5:00 AM (typically 2 to 3 months, depending on your learning curve). Phase 2 (Production): Once fully trained, you will transition to 2nd Shift and hit the shop floor running.
You will be standing on your feet for extended periods while fabricating large assemblies. Work involves significant vertical welding (out‑of‑position precision welding on complex structural tooling).
Full-time. Overtime and weekends required as needed.
Santa Ana, CA 92705
This is primarily an 80% TIG / 20% MIG shop environment working with steel, aluminum, and Invar 36. Fit, fabricate, and execute vertical and multi‑position welds on complex aerospace tooling, jigs, fixtures, and custom shop components. Read and interpret blueprints and engineering specs with high accuracy. Set up and tune welding machines to exact job specifications. Measure and inspect materials using calipers, tape measures, and precision layout tools. Collaborate with floor leads to maintain high quality and shop productivity.
