Job summary

Geoprobe Systems® is seeking an experienced welder/fabricator to join our growing team in Salina, KS. The role involves fabricating and assembling metal structures using MIG welding, with TIG experience a bonus. You will read blueprints, set up and maintain welding equipment, and deliver high-quality work on schedule.

Applicants should have a high school degree, basic computer skills, and a willingness to learn. AWS certification and CNC/robotic welding experience are pluses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• AWS certification preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with MIG welding and fabrication.
• Basic computer knowledge and willingness to learn more.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal structures using MIG; TIG experience a bonus.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment.
• Determine weld size/length when not specified.
• Read blueprints to determine operations and materials.
• Deliver finished quality within a reasonable time.
• Collaborate with supervisor on other tasks.

Job description

Geoprobe® is seeking an experienced welder/fabricator to join a growing team. Successful candidates are committed to high quality work, like variety in tasks, and have a passion for welding and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Safely fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment using MIG welder (TIG welding experience is a bonus), band saw, shear, metal punch, and measuring tools

• Set-up, operate, and maintain welding equipment

• Determine the structurally appropriate size & length of weld necessary when documentation does not specify

• Read and accurately interpret blueprints to determine operations, required materials and timeframes for projects

• Provide finished quality required (both with and without fixturing) in a reasonable time

• Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
