Waste Connections is looking for a safety-conscious Welder to join our growing team in Richwoods, Missouri.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform welding and repair of trash/compactor containers, including repairs to trash trucks and fleet metal components.
2. Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
3. Follow safety procedures, document parts usage, and track repair times accurately.
4. Communicate effectively regarding repairs or tasks and collaborate as part of a team.
5. Typical schedule is Monday-Friday starting at 6 am, with occasional Saturday work, totaling 40-50 hours per week.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

• Requires extensive physical activity, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds.
• Work may involve exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts, requiring safety precautions.
• Work environment may be indoors in a shop or outdoors in the yard, often in well-lit and ventilated areas. Sometimes work involves awkward positions and handling greasy or dirty tools.

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid Colorado driver’s license.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Two years of relevant experience preferred.
