Job summary

CKM INDUSTRIES INC is seeking experienced pipe welders to join our Prairieville, LA team. You will perform GTAW (TIG), SMAW (Stick), and FCAW welding on carbon steel and stainless piping, read isometrics, and follow Welding Procedure Specifications.

Responsibilities include maintaining weld quality to ASME Section IX, ensuring safe shop and field work, and coordinating with fitters, supervisors, and QA/QC to meet production schedules. Valid TWIC card and reliable transportation preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of pipe welding experience preferred.
  • Must pass a pipe weld test (typically 6G).
  • Experience with stainless steel, particularly titanium, and carbon steel piping.
  • Ability to weld Schedule 10 through heavy wall pipe.
  • Familiarity with ASME Section IX welding requirements preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and isometric drawings.
  • Reliable transportation and strong work ethic required.

We are currently seeking experienced Pipe Welders to join our team. Candidates must be capable of performing high-quality pipe welding in accordance with applicable codes, specifications, and project requirements.

Work Environment
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts when needed. If requested, work overtime, and respond to emergency callouts whenever they occur. Work days, nights, and weekends and or holidays. Travel to customers and other Miller sites as needed.
  • Ability to work in a refinery with loud, hazardous conditions, potentially hazardous chemicals and industrial settings.
  • Working in various temperatures and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced turnaround environment.
