Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Welders for projects located in the Portage, IN area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is up to $28/hour based on experience and skill level.

Qualifications

• Experience with MIG/TIG/STICK welding.
• Ability to read blueprints and AWS weld symbols.
• Familiar with overhead/jib cranes and forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up & operate MIG, TIG, and Stick welding equipment.
• Read blueprints and AWS weld symbols.
• Lay out, cut, fit, tack and weld metal components to tight tolerances.
• Operate plasma cutters, grinders, band saws, and drill presses.
• Perform quality checks.
• Inspect for quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Operate overhead/jib cranes and forklifts.
