Introduction: As a Welder at Central Moloney, you play a vital role in the fabrication and assembly of essential components in the manufacturing of electrical transformers. Your skills and attention to detail ensure the highest quality standards in our products, contributing to the company's reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Perform welding tasks on various metals, following blueprints and specifications.

Assemble metal structures and components, ensuring precision and quality.

Conduct inspections of welded areas to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Utilize various welding techniques, including MIG and TIG welding.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and deadlines.

Document and maintain records of welding tasks and inspections.

Requirements

Additional Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum 2 years of experience in welding, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.

Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures relevant to welding.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Good physical stamina to perform welding tasks for extended periods.

Pass a welding test as part of the interview process.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.

Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed.

PPE: Wear required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear.

Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).

Stamina: Stand for long shifts.

Skills: Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork.

Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.

Schedule Information

We operate across two shifts:

1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Please Note

Current openings are for 2nd shift.

All new hires begin training on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift upon successful completion of training.

Overtime may be required, including starting before 7:00 AM (for 1st shift) or working past midnight (for 2nd shift).

Shifts are subject to change based on business needs.

We’re looking for candidates with open availability and the ability to commit to their assigned schedule, including flexibility for training and potential overtime.
