FULL VISION INC in Newton, KS is seeking a Welder who can join our production team. The role welds ferrous and non-ferrous metals, uses GMAW or resistance spot welding, and may involve robotic welding equipment.
You will set up machines, load parts, and perform preventive maintenance on welding equipment. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of manufacturing experience, and the ability to pass a hands-on weld test and a physical agility test.
Job Location: Newton, KS 67114. Position Type: Full Time. Education Level: High School. Salary Range: $18.00 - $28.00 Hourly. Job Shift: 1st Shift. Welder grade level and pay dependent upon experience and preemployment weld test. Higher grade levels depend upon experience with Robotic Programming and Exotic Welding.
Welds ferrous and non-ferrous metals. May use GMAW or Resistance Spot Welding processes. Sets own welding machine, changes wire spools, gas cylinders, and does preventive maintenance of welding machine, wire feeder and related equipment. Loads own parts in fixtures. May be responsible for the set-up, maintenance, and operation of robotic (or cobot) welding equipment.
You will be expected to obtain the tools listed as "Minimum Required Tools" for your classification. Regular attendance and starting on time are essential. Are expected to pass AWS D1.1 Certification within first 30 days of employment. AWS D1.1 Certification is required for Grade B- and higher. Responsible for the quality of your own work and to not accept poor quality workmanship from others. Expected to perform at acceptable quality and performance levels and strive for continuous improvement as described in Full Vision's Quality Policy.
