Wastequip has an immediate opportunity for a Welder to support our Eagleville, TN manufacturing operation. This is a full-time position with benefits including Health Insurance, 401K Plan, Paid Vacation/Sick time, and more. The ideal candidate will be a MIG Welder with prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
Hiring for first and second shift positions.
Second shift receives a $3 shift differential.
Work hours: 2:30PM-11PM
Responsibilities
- Position parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamp parts together along layout marks.
- Lay out, position, and tack weld work pieces.
- MIG weld along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld lines.
- Connect regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch. Adjust gas mixture and pressure, light torch, and cut metal.
- Examine welds for bead size and specifications.
- Scarfs or grooves welds and parts.
- Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or splatter.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must regularly stand, walk, reach, stoop, lift, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and 90 lbs. occasionally.
- Specific vision abilities required include distance vision, close vision, peripheral vision, & depth perception.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED/Technical School preferred.
- MIG welding experience is required.
- 1+ year of related experience and/or training preferred.
- Ability to read and understand instructions, memos, and blueprints.
- Knowledge of basic math, tape measure reading, fractions & decimals.
- Able to pass all EHS required tests and clearances.
