We are hiring a Welder to work safely in an industrial plant environment, performing welding functions relevant to the oil & gas industry, including cutting, beveling, welding, preparation, cleanup, repairs, field takeoff, and measurement.

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Attend scheduled work shifts reliably and abide by safety policies.
2. Assemble and install metal pipes and fittings for stainless and carbon steel projects.
3. Remove slag and smooth weld surfaces using grinders or scrapers.
4. Secure pipes using clamps, brackets, and hangers.
5. Select appropriate materials and equipment based on metallurgy knowledge.
6. Prepare workpieces by cleaning with chemical solutions.
7. Preheat metal pipes using heating furnaces or weed burners.
8. Cut and shape metal components to specifications.
9. Fill holes, cracks, and dents on metal workpieces.
10. Use precision tools to check measurements and tolerances.
11. Study schematics and blueprints for pipe layout.
12. Operate welding units and equipment to deposit metal and join edges.
13. Weld in various positions, ensuring bead size and weld quality.
14. Fabricate parts for equipment as needed.
15. Follow safety regulations and wear protective gear.
16. Troubleshoot piping systems and conduct diagnostics.

Qualifications and Skills

• Own a complete rig truck with welding equipment and accessories.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, and API 1104 standards.
• Ability to pass x-ray site requirements.
• Experience with downhill welding, TIG welding, and oilfield welding in high-pressure systems.
• 5+ years of industrial or pipeline construction experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read blueprints, ISO drawings, and P&IDs.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must pass prescribed weld tests.
