Job summary

Comprehensive Energy Services, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Service Pipefitter Welder in Florida. The role requires reading blueprints, installing varied piping, and ensuring safe, efficient assembly under supervision. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

The candidate should have 3–5 years of commercial piping experience, be able to follow directions, and lead apprentices. U.S. citizenship or permanent residence is required for government contracts; FL Journeyman license is preferred but

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial piping experience.
• Ability to read blueprints/3D plans.
• Climb and balance on ladders; work at heights.
• Pass drug tests and background checks.
• U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident due to government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Install and work with piping systems and materials.
• Read and interpret piping layouts and 3D plans.
• Lead and teach apprentice pipefitters, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Establish piping elevations and layout per drawings.
• Maintain productivity and follow supervisor directions; overtime/weekends as needed.

Requirements And Experience

• Applicants must be U.S. citizens or Permanent Residence due to government contract projects
• Must be able to read blueprints and have a basic understanding of the piping systems
• Ability to manage time and production effectively following directions from the supervisors
• Must have the ability to install and work with all the different piping and materials used in the trade
• Lead and teach apprentice pipefitters ensuring they are working safely within the company guidelines and policies.
• Skilled in the use of hands and tools used in the piping trade
• Establish elevation and layout piping
• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as needed

Qualifications

• The qualified candidate will have three (3) to five (5) years of commercial piping experience
• To perform this job successfully, qualified applicants must be able to understand 3D plans and drawings
• Must be able to climb and balance on ladders, stand/ or sit for long periods at a time, must not have fear of heights, among others
• Must be able to pass regular drug testing and be open to background checks
• Florida State Journeyman license preferred but not required
