Job description

Position performs routine duties while operating required equipment to move, weld, and apply certification stamp to pipe. The position requires knowledge of all welding processes and industry standards.

Responsibilities

1. Manually move pipe in and out of weld machinery.
2. Operate weld and plasma machines to apply welded outlets to desired pipes.
3. Operate handheld weld gun to apply reweld as specified.
4. Apply certification stamp to weld area using metal stamp and hammer.
5. Move pipe along the table to offload onto pipe carts for transfer of finished goods.
6. Push carts of pipe to load area for loading purposes.
7. Operate pneumatic bander to prepare pipe bundles for shipment when required.
8. Complete training curriculum including safety requirements, demonstrating competence as defined by management.
9. Follow all company policies and procedures.
10. Perform job duties within guidelines of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
11. Handle additional tasks as necessary to meet company and customer needs, as directed by fabrication lead, manager, or branch operations manager.

Requirements

1. Minimum of 1-2 years in a production multitask environment under time constraints.
2. Previous welding experience helpful with the ability to become certified.
3. Basic arithmetic skills, including reading a tape measure in 1/4" increments.
