Core Responsibilities

• Follow welding procedures (AWS, AISC)
• Weld in all positions, including ground level, above ground, and below ground
• Prepare materials by chipping, peening, and grinding for welding or finishing
• Weld structural, bridge, and industrial materials with precision, including uncommon metals under close tolerances
• Perform gouging and scarfing as needed
• Pass welding tests according to AWS D1.1 standards
• Transport materials using cranes as required
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform routine duties as directed by management
• Adhere to all safety rules and PPE requirements

Education/Training & Work Experience

High school diploma or GED, with at least 12 months of stable work experience. Must pass a weld test.

Knowledge, Certifications, & Licenses

• Proficiency with hand tools and welding equipment
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operation manuals
• Basic math skills
• Reasoning ability to follow instructions and solve problems
• Certification in AWS D1.1 weld test
