Job summary

Trillium Construction is seeking skilled TIG Welders to join their team near Kingsport, TN. The role involves welding stainless steel plate and pipe in a fabrication shop, reading blueprints and weld symbols, and setting up TIG equipment for precise, high-quality welds.

The ideal candidate has prior TIG experience, can interpret fabrication drawings, and will work both independently and with other welders and shop personnel. Home base is Kingsport area with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

Job description

Trillium Construction is seeking TIG Welders near Kingsport, TN.

Key Responsibilities

• TIG weld stainless steel plate and pipe in a fabrication shop environment.
• Perform high-quality, clean welds with minimal distortion and discoloration.
• Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions.
• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment, including selecting appropriate amperage, gas flow, tungsten, and filler material.
• Fit and weld components to required dimensions and tolerances.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and prepping joints for welding.
• Make adjustments to welding techniques and equipment as needed to maintain quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
• Work independently while also collaborating with other welders, fabricators, and shop personnel.

Pay rate is up to $40/hour. Schedule is Mon - Fri, and some weekends, 50h / week.

Requirements

• Previous TIG experience
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings
