Job summary

American Crystal Sugar Company seeks a Certified Welder to support maintenance in the factory. You will perform fabrication, pipefitting and rigging, setting priorities and maintaining a steady, safe pace in a team environment.

The role requires ASME Section 9 6G welding certification, a basic mechanical aptitude test, and safety-screen clearance. SAP is used daily to document work, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Must pass Basic Mechanical Aptitude test.
• Must possess ASME, Section 9 Welding Certification (6G Pipe).
• Must pass Safety Screen for duties.
• Forklift and manlift certification required.

Job description

The Certified Welder is primary responsible for providing welding expertise to assist and support maintenance activities in the factory.Principle accountabilities include but are not limited to:Performs fabrication, pipefitting and rigging.Communicates with others to enable them to set appropriate priorities.Responsible for setting an effective pace and for minimizing interruptions in the process operation.Participates in safety programs and safety training.
