Job summary

United Infrastructure Group is seeking a Welder to fabricate and assemble metal structures and Overhead Bridge Cranes. The role requires skill with flux-core welding (flat, vertical, overhead) and the ability to interpret job orders, blueprints, and layouts.

Responsibilities include setting up fabricating machines, constructing templates, verifying tolerances, and working in confined spaces. Strong standards for safety and documentation are expected, with periodic travel and US work eligibility.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Trimble Survey Equipment.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and various 3D software.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Self-starter and ability to work unsupervised.
• Team player and self-motivated to be successful.
• Periodic travel required.
• Legally able to work in the US.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Primary function is to fabricate and assemble metal structures and products through the use of welders, cutters, and shapers
• Certified Welder, Flux Core: flat, vertical, and overhead.
• Fabricate and assemble Overhead Bridge Cranes according to job order, verbal instructions, and blueprints.
• Develop layout and plans sequence of operations, applying knowledge of trigonometry, stock allowances for thickness, machine and welding shrinkage, and physical properties of metal.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as welders, punches, flame cutters, and drill presses.
• Ability to design and construct templates and fixtures.
• Ability to verify conformance of work piece to specifications
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Standing, stooping, bending, climbing, crawling, working at odd angles, and working in tight spaces for long periods of time.
