Job summary

Peninsula Iron Works in Oregon seeks an experienced welder to join our heavy industrial manufacturing team. You will read blueprints, perform MIG and Flux Core welds, and support fabrication and repair projects in a large-scale operation.

You will fabricate, fit, weld structural steel, inspect welds, set up equipment, and work with overhead cranes. The role requires standing, lifting, and sometimes overtime, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in MIG and Flux Core welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Experience with structural steel, heavy plate, and large fabricated components.
• Knowledge of rigging and safe use of overhead cranes.
• Ability to operate grinders and torches with attention to detail.
• Willingness to overtime and weekends as needed.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform demanding work.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder** **to join our manufacturing team. This position is ideal for a welder with strong fabrication and welding experience who can work independently from blueprints, produce quality welds, and support heavy industrial manufacturing and repair projects.
