Join Our Team as a Welder at Epiroc!

This Welder role is responsible for operating cranes, welding product, and maintaining welding tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the quality and production standards of the company.

Work Type (Onsite): This position will be based onsite at our Dexter, MI facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship.

Shift Timings: 1st Shift: 4:00 AM–2:30 PM, Monday – Thursday.

Responsibilities:

  • Layout, position, align and fit components into welding fixture as instructed.
  • Set-up gas-shield, mig-weld and weld parts to job specifications.
  • Read, interpret and understand blueprints and welding symbols to complete job assignments.
  • Use hand tools, clamps and grinders to perform job tasks.
  • Complete basic maintenance on welding equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices.
  • Any other duties that fall within the employee’s capabilities.

Knowledge/Education:

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in heavy duty machining/ manufacturing environment, preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated skill level of wire feed (MIG) welding.
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to read tape measure and blueprints.
  • Ability to read and understand work order routings and instructions.
  • Ability to layout parts using weld fixtures.
