Iowa Rotocast Plastics, Inc. is seeking a welder to join our manufacturing team in Decorah, IA. You will read blueprints, set up welding equipment, and weld steel or aluminum components to specification. This role emphasizes quality workmanship, safety, and teamwork.

The position is a weekday schedule with potential overtime based on production needs. Candidates should have at least 1 year welding experience and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

  • Fabrication and/or welding experience in aluminum or steel.

  • Skilled in various hand and power tools.

Overview

A welder is responsible for assembling, fabricating, and repairing metal structures and components using welding techniques. The welder reads and interprets blueprints, operates welding equipment, lifts heavy materials, and ensures high quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Work Schedule 6:00-4:30PM Monday-Thursday.
  • Overtime may be required based on production demands.
  • Exposure to high temperatures, sparks, and fumes.
  • Lifting heavy materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Requires wearing personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
