Base pay range

$23.00/hr - $27.00/hr

Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in assigned welding techniques.
• Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbology / study blueprints, sketches, or specifications.
• Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials.
• Calculate dimensions to be welded.
• Conventional and precision measuring instruments (i.e. weld gauge).
• Process inspection, certification, and documentation.
• Basic welding equipment maintenance.
• Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools.
• Must be able to accurately record time to correct job number categories, etc. for job costing.
• Understand and adhere to safety and housekeeping policies.
• Other duties as requested or assigned by any person authorized to give instructions or assignments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A certificate in the area of welding preferred with a minimum of 2 years welding experience.

Required Skills

• Ability to anticipate and resolve potential problems.
• Observance of and adherence to all company policies and procedures is expected at all times.

Pay range

$23-$27/hr

• Possess mathematical skills, analytical skills, and the ability to anticipate and resolve potential problems.
• Knowledge of plant’s equipment, systems, and processes.
