Job summary

The Shyft Group USA, Inc is seeking a Regular Employee Welder to join our manufacturing team. You will perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless, and aluminum per blueprints and weld symbols, while setting up equipment and maintaining quality standards.

The role requires reading blueprints, passing a welding test, and a readiness to rotate across weld areas. We value reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Must read blueprints and weld specifications.
• Pass a welding certification test; prior welding experience/certifications preferred.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to rotate across weld areas, wear PPE, work overtime, and pursue skill development.
• Excellent attendance and positive attitude.

What you’ll do:

Responsible for welding and reworking products using MIG/TIG techniques per specifications and blueprints.

• Perform MIG/TIG welding (AWS3G/4G) on steel, stainless, and aluminum per blueprints and weld symbols
  
• Set up and maintain welding equipment; follow detailed operator instructions and quality standards
  
• Inspect work and prior processes to ensure quality and production flow

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; support 5S and lean initiatives

What you need to be successful:

• High School Diploma or GED; excellent attendance and positive attitude
