Job summary

A contract service provider in Connecticut is seeking an Entry-level Welder. This role involves operating welding machines and performing TIG and EB welding on small aerospace parts. Shift Schedule

1st Shift Work Schedule: Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Operate semi-automated welding machines
• Perform TIG & EB welding operations on small aerospace parts (our final products fit in the palm of your hand)
• Assemble, setup & maintain tooling
• Perform leak testing operations
• Operate heat treat and furnace brazing equipment
• Some spot welding
• Tin & drill housings
• Maintain quality records

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of machinist and/or welding experience required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the Client States without company sponsorship.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.

Position Criteria

• Must be able to lift 70 pounds
• Ability to qualify to AWSD17.1
