Description

Summary: Plans, lays out and performs complex welding operations on a wide variety of metals, including stainless steel, and alloys (nickel alloy) in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.

Essential Functions:

• Performs GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding
• Works on traditional projects and can perform most fit ups that company requires
• Understands advanced blueprint reading and welding symbol interpretation
• Works independently on a regular basis and judgement can be trusted
• Understands time expectations and most jobs are completed within time estimates

Requirements

Competencies and Attributes Needed:

• Workmanship meets or exceeds ASME and AWS requirements
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Accountability to own projects with little oversight on non ASME projects
• Passion to learn and grow
• Accountability to the team and attendance

Requirements

• Experience with basic welding principles.
• Performs GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding with at least one certification
• Proficient with other tools; micrometers and calipers, etc.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires physical capability which includes standing most of the time, some lifting up to 25 to 50 pounds, and pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching as needed.
• Standard shift is ten hours per day, with Steel-toe boots and safety glasses required. Plant facility does not have air conditioning.

$22 - $30 DOE (+$2/hr for 2nd shift)
