Job summary

Behlen Mfg Co. in Baker City, Oregon is seeking a Welder for 1st and 2nd shifts to weld tubular products, set up and operate welding equipment, and assist in other duties as needed. Emphasis on safety, quality, and data tracking will be important to success.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, maintaining machines, and contributing to continuous improvement and ISO 9001-2015 processes. Work will be performed with limited supervision on-site at the Baker City Plant.

Qualifications

• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Physical ability to lift 30 to 70 lbs.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and ISO 9001-2015.
• Adherence to safety procedures and JSA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform welding operations on Tubular Welding products using appropriate jigs.
• Set machinery properly according to material requirements.
• Maintain the machine and perform other operations, as necessary.
• Ability to help in all areas of the department as needed.
• Responsible for the assembly of product and data tracking.
• Responsible for quality and quantity of work, organization of work.
• Responsible for compliance with all documented procedures and employee handbook.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Be able to read a tape measure.
• Basic mathematical ability.
• Position will require lifting 30 to 70 lbs. approximately 70% of the time.
