Trs Staffing Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Welder to travel to customer jobsites and perform welding according to drawings and specifications.

This role requires proficiency in FCAW, GTAW, GMAW, and SMAW, and the ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications while maintaining strict safety standards. The Welder will ensure the quality and integrity of welded structures by adhering to AWS standards and collaborating with engineering and fabrication teams to address production

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience as a Welder with a focus on combo welding for stainless steel and carbon alloy welding.
  • Welding certifications or equivalent experience in fabrication, industrial and Sanitary environments.
  • Knowledge of safe operation of welding machine and grinder.
  • Proficiency in various welding techniques and processes.
  • Knowledge of materials, metallurgy, and welding symbols.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality welds.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members to ensure project objectives are met.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Welder is responsible for traveling to customer jobsites and performing welding activities in accordance with customer drawings and specifications. This role involves using various welding techniques to fabricate, assemble, modify and repair existing metal infrastructure. The Welder ensures the quality and integrity of welded structures, adhering to strict safety and compliance standards.



Primary Responsibilities


  • Utilize various welding techniques, including but not limited to FCAW (Flux-Core), GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), and SMAW (stick), to weld metal components.

  • Select appropriate welding methods based on material type, thickness, and project specifications.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. client specifications.

Physical Requirements


  • Bending at the waist, knees and ankles, stooping, crawling on arms and legs, and climbing ladders up to 6 feet.

  • Must be able to fully extend arm lengths when reaching below waist and above head.

  • Must be able to maintain balance when walking, crouching, and crawling indoors and outdoors, including in uneven or slippery surfaces.

  • Must be able to stand and remain upright for extended periods.

  • Walking is expected for up to 100% of the scheduled shift.

  • Be able to communicate verbally as well as in written and diagram forms.

  • Be able to hear with or without correction, and must be able to determine source of sound as well as be able to interpret communications in an environment with different sounds at different volumes e.g. someone addressing a coworker by speech with simultaneous machinery running at the same time in the same environment.

  • Be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.

  • Visual acuity with or without correction – must be able to read small and big prints,be able to distinguish different colors, have distance vision 20 feet or more, have peripheral vision, full depth perception, have the ability to adjust visual focus at will.
