Job summary

Lenocker Metal Fab in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join our fabrication team. Read blueprints, fit up weldments, and operate welding equipment across various positions.

You will weld components using FCAW-G and GMAW, follow safety procedures, and maintain a clean work area. Applicants must read shop drawings, work independently, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds; training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Maintain safe, clean work area and equipment.

Responsibilities

Lenocker Metal Fab is currently expanding our fabrication team and we are looking for experienced welders/fabricators. Projects range from miscellaneous steel (railings, signs, fences) to larger structural assemblies (columns, beams, stairs).

Job description

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Use tape measures, levels, squares and other hand tools to accurately fit up weldments.
• Operate angle grinders, saws, forklifts and welding machines.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead)
• Utilize PPE and safety equipment to maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Requirements

• Ability to read shop drawings and weld symbols as well as maintain shop tolerances. Fit-up and weld test will be given to assess this.
• Experience in FCAW-G (Dual shield) and GMAW (hardwire).
• Must be able to work independently as well as communicate with other team members.
• Proficient in English.
• Current AWS welding certification in FCAW-G is a plus.
• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, or squatting and walking may be required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work Monday- Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM.
