Job summary

Global Power Components is seeking a detail-oriented Weld Tester to join our Milwaukee, WI manufacturing team in a fast-paced setting. You will verify the integrity and quality of welded fuel tanks through pressure testing, leak detection, and minor repairs to ensure products meet our high standards before shipment.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints and work instructions, documenting testing results, and collaborating with welders and fabrication teams to resolve quality concerns.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience required.
• Experience testing fuel tanks, pressure vessels, or similar welded products preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve production-related issues.
• Must pass a welding competency test and pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform pressure testing on welded fuel tanks to verify product quality and integrity.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and locate leaks or defects in welded assemblies.
• Complete minor weld repairs and leak corrections as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain accurate testing records and communicate findings to production leadership.
• Work closely with welders and fabrication teams to resolve quality concerns.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
