Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a 1st shift Weld Destruct at our Richmond, KY plant. You will use hand and power tools to perform destructive and nondestructive tests, inspect welds and materials, and document results.

The role requires standing 8–10 hours, following quality policies, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. We offer comprehensive benefits including ESOP shares, health and retirement options, and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English to follow instructions and safety rules.
• 1 year related experience and/or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts or products.
• Inspect materials and parts for conformance to specifications; log non-conformances.
• Operate cutters, grinders, and related equipment to break welds and test performance.
• Record data, write reports, and communicate results to Weld Technicians and Supervisors.
