Job summary

The Pivot Group Network in Wayland, MI is seeking an experienced Weld Technician to join our manufacturing partner network. You will perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, interpret blueprints, and ensure welded parts meet specifications.

You will set up equipment, adjust settings, perform quality checks, and collaborate with engineers to improve processes. Salary ranges from $48,000 to $75,000 depending on experience, with opportunities across West Michigan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AWS CW certification or equivalent preferred.
• 3+ years of MIG, TIG, and Stick welding in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Strong understanding of welding safety protocols and quality control standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding on various materials and product lines using MIG, TIG, and Stick processes.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine welding requirements and sequence of operations.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including adjusting voltage, amperage, and wire feed speed.
• Conduct quality checks on welded components to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair welding equipment and machinery to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize welding processes and improve product design.
