Job summary

Eaton’s Troy, IL facility is seeking a Weld Technician for the 3rd shift (Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.). The role focuses on reading blueprints, interpreting welding symbols, and ensuring weld quality in a precision environment.

You will operate robotic welders and manual equipment, collaborate with a cross‑functional team, and contribute to first‑pass weld integrity. Eligibility includes at least six months in manufacturing and residence within 50 miles of Troy.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of manufacturing experience.
• Must reside within 50 miles of Troy, IL.
• Eaton does not sponsor CPT/OPT/STEM OPT or similar.
• No relocation benefits offered.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure weld integrity.
• Work with robotic welders, hand welders, progressive welders, and AutoMig equipment.
