Job summary

Adient in Battle Creek Seating Component is seeking a welding technician for evening shift duties and continuous improvement in weld processes. You will monitor automated welds, adjust fixtures, modify weld programs, and respond to equipment issues to maintain product quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume automotive manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Equipment troubleshooting, weld fixture adjustments and weld programming are daily activities.
• Basic understanding of 2D dimensional product prints (GD&T preferred).
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Process monitoring and data recording.
• Fixture adjustments required to meet product dimensional targets.
• Weld program changes as required to maintain weld performance.
• Respond to unscheduled equipment issues and perform diagnostics/repairs.
• Support of non-automated repair processes (off-line weld repairs).
• Complete PMs and assigned project/development work.
• Complete required training per Adient and customer requirements.
