Job summary

Jefferson Southern Corporation in Rockmart, GA is seeking a Team Leader to supervise production lines, train new associates, maintain documentation, and uphold confidentiality of performance information. You will coordinate with quality teams and ensure daily production targets are met while maintaining safe, efficient operations.

The role requires hands-on leadership, learning all jobs, and ensuring proper labeling and customer communication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Prior knowledge of production processes preferred.
• Must have basic written communication skills.
• Must have good problem solving, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of associate performance information and other issues as directed by management.
• Ensure new associates have adequate training before being left to perform tasks.
• Work with quality associates to prevent substandard parts from being shipped.
• Investigate and resolve inventory issues as they arise.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure daily maintenance activities are performed.
• Learn all jobs in the assigned areas and operate lines when necessary.
• Complete all documentation within operations.
• Drive continuous improvement in quality, safety, productivity, and delivery.
• Provide continuous support for all associates.
• Meet daily production needs and communicate requirements to associates.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and take responsibility for correcting customer-service issues.
• Ensure associates are trained and following proper labeling procedures.
• Perform other duties as required by management.

• Ensure that all new associates have adequate training in their assigned work areas before being left alone to complete a task
• Work directly with quality associates when problems occur to prevent substandard parts from being shipped
