Job summary

Southern Pro Staffing is seeking a Weld Shop Supervisor to oversee a team of 10 to 15 welders in an industrial manufacturing setting. The role requires strong metal fabrication knowledge, MIG and TIG welding skills, and the ability to read blueprints.

Candidates should have 3-5 years' experience, familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, ERP/MRP systems, and compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100. Aluminum and steel welding per AWS specs is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in metal fabrication
• Proficient in MIG and TIG welding
• Experience welding aluminum and steel per AWS specs D1.1, D1.2, D15.1, D17.1
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma, ERP/MRP systems, and adherence to ISO9001 and AS9100 standards is beneficial
• Oversee a team of 10–15 welders

Job description

The weld shop supervisor will report to the Welding Manager. The Weld Shop Supervisor should have the following experience

• Oversee a team of 10 to 15 welders,
• Fabrication and Sheet Metal
• 7 to 10 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge and experience in metal fabrication, including proficient use of MIG and TIG welding and advanced fitting techniques
• Experience welding aluminum and steel in accordance with AWS specifications D1.1, D1.2, D15.1, and D17.1
• Strong computer skills and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Lean Six Sigma, ERP/MRP systems,
• ISO9001 and AS9100 standards
