Riverbend Industries Inc. is seeking a reliable Material Handler to support operations in our weld fabrication shop in Chicago.

The role focuses on moving, organizing, and staging raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure a smooth production workflow, while maintaining inventory accuracy and a clean, safe work environment. The position requires experience with forklifts, overhead cranes, and electric hoists, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and electric hoist.
• Prior material handling in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to urgent needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage Kanban Inventory Management system.
• Cut pipe and prepare materials for welders as needed.
• Pull parts per BOM, drawings, or pick lists.
• Assist welders by moving materials to workstations.
• Unload trucks and sign for deliveries.
• Maintain inventory counts and the inventory system.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklift, cranes, and hoists.
• Label and identify products with order numbers and BOMs.
• Complete paperwork and documentation neatly and accurately.
• Cross-train in hydro testing and painting operations.
• Organize materials stored outdoors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
