Job summary

Schwing America Inc. in Saint Paul, MN seeks a Weld Shop Supervisor to lead the weld production team, coordinate daily scheduling, ensure material readiness, and drive on-time delivery while maintaining Schwing quality standards.

The role requires 8+ years of industry experience with supervisory background, strong communication, and proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel; SAP knowledge is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
Must be a subject-matter expert in one of SAI areas and able to supervise the others.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Basic PC skills and SAP knowledge are a plus.

Responsibilities

Participate in the scheduling and planning of weld production on a daily basis as directed by customer change orders.
Ensure adequate supplies of materials are on-hand to complete weld production requirements.
Staff according to weld production demand.
Evaluate production process and recommend improvements to reduce costs and time while maintaining standards.
Run production reports (labor, quantities, key measurables) for evaluation by Weld Shop Manager.
Coach/train/motivate staff to increase productivity.
Ensure all safety policies and procedures are met.
Conduct performance evaluations and participate in hiring and disciplinary processes.
Other duties as assigned.
