Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation's Vocational Tennessee facility in Murfreesboro is hiring a Quality Inspector to ensure parts meet designed intent and customer expectations. You will review prints, perform basic inspections, and document results per procedures while supporting startup testing and engineering with clear quality updates.

Qualified candidates will have at least 6 months of experience, ability to read blueprints with GDT, and familiarity with measuring tools, CMM/3-D scanners, and basic

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of applicable position experience
• Read blueprints with GDT tolerancing
• Use Coordinate Measurement Systems and 3-D Scanners
• Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
• Experience with measuring tools (tape, gauges)
• Welding knowledge (AWT) and understands welding symbols

Responsibilities

• Navigate department computer systems (MDS, QMS, JDE) to report quality data
• Interpret assembly, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic prints and schematics
• Verify items meet Engineering and Quality Control specs through manufacturing
• Perform weld quality inspections using gauges, penetrant, and magnetic particle methods
• Ensure tools are calibrated and in compliance with QMS
• Collaborate with supervisor and production to provide quality updates to the team
• Conduct basic root cause analysis on defects
