Job summary

FastTrack Staffing in Ocala, FL is seeking a dependable Welder Helper to support welders and the shop team with preparing materials, moving parts, and keeping work areas organized.

This hands-on role requires safety-minded individuals who are willing to learn and adapt in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. The position is on-site, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and a pay rate of $15+ per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Previous welding, fabrication, construction, or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.
• Basic familiarity with hand and power tools is preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well with others.
• Dependable attendance and a willingness to learn.
• Commitment to working safely.
• Must take a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist welders with preparing metal and materials for welding and fabrication.
• Measure, mark, cut, grind, and clean materials as directed.
• Move, position, and secure materials using hand tools or material-handling equipment.
• Help load and unload materials and finished products.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
• Follow instructions, safety procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Inspect materials and finished work for visible defects and report concerns to a supervisor.
• Perform other shop duties as needed.
