Job summary

The Baker Company in Sanford, Maine is seeking a Supervisor of Weld & Grind/Polish to lead the weld and grind/polish teams. You will oversee daily production, ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and coordinate resources to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Five years of TIG welding and supervisory experience required.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of weld and grind/polish teams to meet safety and productivity targets.
• Coordinate people, materials, equipment, and workflow to maintain on-time production.
• Apply Lean tools to improve line capacity and reduce waste.
• Mentor teams and reinforce problem-solving and continuous improvement culture.
• Ensure documentation and compliance with manufacturing procedures.
